It's been a while since I posted anything here but that doesn't mean I stopped doing art and I decided to share my thoughts on AI here.
So I was thinking about the impact of Ai overall and I won't get into what AI overall can mean to the world. Let's just say I think AI can greatly benefit humanity in the RIGHT hands.
Now, what do I think about AI art?
Well, I've been thinking about how to best explain it and I believe I found a way.
AI is like Frankenstein's monster. It's a soulless body stitched up together from various pieces of different human bodies. Sure it might look like a human but it didn't go through life studying, practicing and experiencing what every real human had gone through throughout his life. That growth and experiences are what develops your personality which is basically your soul!
Therefore, art has the soul of the artist and all of his life experiences, skill and knowledge he has accumulated throughout his life infused into it.
AI on the other hand has no soul, no skill and no admiration for art and therefore can not be considered art!
This might sound a bit too "philosophical" but I hope it gets the point across.
Edit: think about it this way: If you asked someone what is 1,658,462,241.653 x 5,493 / 86.2 and they gave you an accurate answer in an instant you'd be amazed that a human can do something like that right?
Now if you type that into a computer and the computer gives you the same accurate result in a click of a button would you be just as impressed? Probably not even close right?
Well that is the difference between human made art and AI made "art."
Think about that.
